The SRH Big Band was founded in Heidelberg in 2002 by Rainer Maertens - the current bandleader - and employees of the SRH Group who are interested in music.
In the SRH (www.srh.de) - a country wide offerer within the range, education, rehablitation and health service, approx. 13,000 coworkers work in the different enterprises, at different locations of Germany.
The main place and seat of the getting thing is in Heidelberg. Here also the SRH Bigband rehearses.
The SRH-Bigband is virtually the "musical company team of the SRH". The band is made up of jazz enthusiasts from all sectors of SRH, semi-professional musicians, jazz professionals and music students.

The band has travelled a long way in the past, with appearances at jazz festivals, open air, clubs, city festivals, company parties and balls, and has been on the road throughout Germany, as well as in France, Spain, the Czech Republic, Hungary and the USA.
She represents the great orchestral jazz in the classical line-up with 5 saxophones, 4 trombones, 5 trumpets, a rhythm set consisting of piano, bass, drums, percussion as well as singer and singer.
Regular rehearsals and workshops, led by renowned jazz musicians, guarantee that the band now moves at a very high musical level.
A few years ago the band produced a highly acclaimed CD - "Good News" - and since then the SRH Bigband has continued to develop.
This was one of the reasons why the SRH big band was voted the best big band of this festival at the 7th big band festival in Szombathely, Hungary.
In November 2018 the SRH Bigband was a participant in the nationwide competition for orchestras in Trossingen and achieved a 2nd place in the category Bigband with the rating: With very good success.
Every year we develop a new program in the SRH Bigband consisting of swing, funk, latin, fusion and soul and go beyond musical pigeonholing, without being afraid of something new.

Le SRH Big Band a été fondé à Heidelberg en 2002 par Rainer Maertens - l'actuel chef d'orchestre - et des employés du groupe SRH intéressés par la musique. Dans le SRH (www.srh.de) - un soumissionnaire à l'échelle nationale dans le domaine de l'éducation, de la réadaptation et des services de santé, environ 14000 collaborateurs travaillent dans les différentes entreprises, sur les différents sites de l'Allemagne. L'endroit principal et le siège de la chose d'obtenir est à Heidelberg. Ici aussi, le SRH Bigband répète. Le SRH-Bigband est pratiquement "l'équipe de la compagnie musicale de la SRH". Le groupe est composé d'amateurs de jazz de tous les secteurs de la SSR, de musiciens semi-professionnels, de professionnels du jazz et d'étudiants en musique. Pour nous, SRH signifie : S wings R eally H eally H ot .... Le groupe a beaucoup voyagé dans le passé, avec des apparitions dans des festivals de jazz, en plein air, dans des clubs, des festivals urbains, des fêtes d'entreprise et des bals, et a voyagé dans toute l'Allemagne, ainsi qu'en France, en Espagne, en République tchèque, en Hongrie et aux Etats-Unis. Elle représente le grand jazz orchestral classique avec 5 saxophones, 4 trombones, 5 trompettes, un ensemble rythmique composé de piano, basse, batterie, percussion ainsi que chanteur et chanteur. Des répétitions et des ateliers réguliers, animés par des musiciens de jazz renommés, garantissent que le groupe se déplace maintenant à un très haut niveau musical. Il y a quelques années, le groupe a produit un CD très acclamé - "Good News" - et depuis lors, le SRH Bigband n'a cessé de se développer. C'est l'une des raisons pour lesquelles le SRH big band a été élu meilleur big band de ce festival lors du 7ème festival du big band à Szombathely, en Hongrie. En novembre 2018, le SRH Bigband a participé au concours national d'orchestres de Trossingen et s'est classé 2ème dans la catégorie Bigband avec le classement : Avec un très bon succès. Chaque année, nous développons un nouveau programme dans le SRH Bigband composé de swing, de funk, de latin, de fusion et de soul et allons au-delà du pigeonnier musical, sans avoir peur de quelque chose de nouveau.
